2 Little Fishes!

Hi Everyone!

Have you been over to TTT and checked out the DT Call yet?
Even if you don't want to apply to become one of our Team you can still join in the mini Candy!

I 've been very slack with my challenge cards recently - I wish my numbers would come up so I didn't have to go to work so often!

Even tho Challenge cards are not right at the top of my 'To Do' list at the moment there is one challenge that always is....Less is More!
This week is the 'One Layer' Challenge and here's my effort....

These Sweet little Pink Petticoat fishes are from a FREE set of stamps from Papercraft Essentials Magazine - aren't they great?

I stamped directly onto the card blank and coloured them lightly with my PrismaColours. I added dots of Crackle Glaze (that was all that was to hand when the urge took me!) and dusted with Glamour Dust.

Aaarrrrhhhhh! I didn't do EMBOSSING! I just got carried away with the 'One Layer'!
I'll have to do another one ;)

To finish off I was just wondering if anyone wanted to be my new best friend?????
Yep! that's 15 Take That Tickets you can see....8 for Cardiff and 7 for Wembley!
They're not ALL for me - although I will be going to both Cardiff AND Wembley to see them!!!

And I managed to get George Michael Tickets yesterday too :)

Less is More - White on White

Good Evening all :)

Firstly I'd like to say a huge Thank You for all of the fantastic friends who sent me beautiful birthday cards for yesterday - they mean so much :)

I've had a very 'quite' Birthday Weekend - well other than Friday night when a few girlies from work came round and we didn't stop laughing till stupid o'clock!
I hope you've all had a good weekend too have enjoyed whatever you've been doing.

Right then, on with business....

This week the fantastic Chrissie and Mandi over at Less is More have challenged us to

White on White!

Here's my effort...

I'm afraid to say I don't know what embossing folder this is as it was sent as a RAK!

It is embossed onto Pearlised white card hence the different in whites!

I added a few clear glitter dots and some white Stickles to add a bit of interest.

If you've not yet seen the amazing entries for LiM this week you must pop over and have a look -  if you could leave some comments on some entries too that would be amazing :)

Wedding Memories....

Evening bloggers - I hope you're all getting back to normal after all of the lovely long weekends we've just had! I'm still getting used to being back in work after 11 days off -  It takes me at least 2 weeks back in work to get up to pace!

Tonight I thought I'd share a Wedding Memories Book I've done for a Wedding a friend is attending at the weekend - I am quite happy that no-one will see it here so couldn't wait to share!!!

I got the idea of these Memory Books when, at the end of last year, another friend said she was going to a very small wedding (only a dozen people) but wanted to give the couple something they could look back on.
I came up with this variation on a Guest Book.
I hate the thought of people writing directly into a 'guest book' (a little OCD there me thinks!) so I included Die Cut cards for the guests to write on - that way the book would be kept neat. This then evolved into a 'kit' for the bride to decorate the pages with once she's added the cards.

When I took this first Wedding Memories Book into work I had orders for more - and they were for big Weddings! The kit and what's included has changed each time as I think of other things that would work well - I now included a gift card with the kit explaining to the couple what the bits are for and include some decorating ideas.

Here's a couple more pics...

I still have loads of ideas to try and include in these books and everyone who orders them says how nice it is that everyone of them is so different - not just in how they look but everything that's included!

I'd like to enter my Wedding Memories Book into the following challenges...

Diva's By Design - FIRST CHALLENGE - Anything Goes!

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes!

Pollycraft - Anything Goes!

Top Tip Tuesday #32

Good Top Tip Tuesday to you all :)

What a gorgeous array of makes you all entered last week - have you popped over to see if you're one of our winners?

This week over at Top Tip Tuesday we are having a very
special 'Tip-Tastic'

Open Challenge!

That means you can make anything you want to!!!!!!

This week tho we really want to see those Top Tips linked - so make sure you write your Top Tip on your blog and link it to Mr Linky with 'Tip' after your name - how easy is that!
You can also go through the links this week to find all of those great Top Tips - it'll be easy to spot them as they'll have 'Tip' written after their name.

This week we have 2 great sponsors:

Random.Org prize for one of the linked projects into this week's Open Challenge...

Prize - 2 Digi Images

AND

This week's Top Tipper will win...

As this week we are focusing on 'Tips' all of the DT have posted one of their favorite 'Top Tips' along with their 'Open Challenge' make.
Pop over to Top Tip Tuesday to check them all out!
My Open Challenge for this week is a bag made from a pair of jeans.........

The idea, I'm afraid to confess, wasn't one of my own....it came from issue 1 of 'Simply Homemade'
If you've not yet seen this magazine you have to look out for it next time you're in the Supermarket - it covers so many crafts and is a fantastic read as well as 100 pages of inspiration!

I did add the 'CarolJenks' twist to my bag by making the handle adjustable - I hate it when you are limited by a one-length-only handle!

The 'Top Tip' I'm sharing with my bag is......

Need some material for making those little projects? Then don't go to the fabric shops....go to the charity shops! The material I have lined my bag with was a dress I paid £3 for - and there's loads left for other projects too!
I bought a few shirts, a lacy skirt and some children's denim skirts to alter!
But that's for another time!

I've made a little charm for my bag using 'Teddies' by DigiSparkle - one of our sponsors this week.
I printed it onto Shrink Plastic, coloured with Prisma Pencils and added some bits of an old necklace!

To print on Shrink Plastic...... Print a 'dummy run' of your image onto a piece of card - attach the Shrink Plastic with sticky tape OVER the printed image (top and sides only, don't tape all 4 sides) and then run through the printer again but this time on DRAFT.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my Jeans Bag as much as I enjoyed making it!

I'd like to enter my bag and charm into the following challenges....

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes!

Pollycraft  - Anything Goes!

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes!

Less is More.......

Good evening everyone - I hope you've all had a wonderful couple of Bank Holiday weekends and some extra time off work! I have...I was one of those people to have 11 days off for only 3 days leave! But back tomorrow :(  Oh well, I have to pay for my stash somehow!!!

I had a fantastic week with my mum staying, so didn't get as much crafting done as I could have....but we did get the sewing machine out.....come back at 8.30 in the morning to see what I made ...and I am sooooo chuffed with it!!!

Anyhow, I've made this Wedding card tonight as part of an order for a girl in work. I've almost finished the 'Wedding Memories' Book to go with it and will upload that very soon. I know that there is no risk of Kayti or Christian seeing this before their big day.....

As this card is to match the 'Wedding Memories' Book I wanted to keep it quite CaS, so an obvious choice was to pop over to Less is More and see what their challenge was for this week!
...Well, to be honest I already knew it was 'Congratulations' or 'Thank You' as it's the first place I go on a Saturday Morning!

I must admit to getting my inspiration for this card from Mandi.
She's used a fab font too - which I have now downloaded - Thanks Mandi :)

Make sure you pop over to see all of the fantastic entries into Less is More - do a little hopping too, they are a generous group of participants :)

I'd also like to enter this card into....

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
