More Less is More!

This week's sketch over at Less is More has that 'Hold' on me I think!

I've done another one!

I was playing with circles and stamps and bits when I did my 1st card with the PB stamps, I uploaded it and went back to my desk and what was there....all of those punched circles and sentiment stamps I'd been playing with earlier!

This is what I came up with...

I masked off the top and bottom of the card blank - along with 3 circles.
Stamped a 'Thinking of You' sentiment all along the panel so when the circle masks were taken off I had clear spaces! I added a dried pressed Daisy to each circle - I got the Daisies from Joanna Sheen about 4 years ago!!!

I decided to add the sentiment in full too, just in case it couldn't be read in the panel!!!

I'm quite pleased with this (other than my smudgy stamping on the right hand edge!)

Have you popped over to Less is More yet?
There's some fantastic offerings for this week's challenge!

A Try of Challenges...

Does anyone know if there actually is a Collective Noun for challenges?

I couldn't find one and liked the 'Some That Might Be' section in the link above,
so made up my own!

A TRY of Challenges!

I feel a little competition here - just for fun....
What's your idea for a Collective Noun for our Card Challenges???

Your ideas.......

Helen - A satisfaction of challenges!
LOVE that one Helen - perfect, I wish I'd thought if it!

Violet - A trial of challenges!
another great one - why are all of your ideas better than mine ;)

craftyhallett - a confusion of challenges!
Aaaaarrrh! - that is spot-on! How many of us fall into this category???

Lisa M - a cluster of challenges!
I Like!
And just like Lisa my desk is all a-cluster after making challenge cards...or should that be all a-clutter?
Ooow I feel another one coming on.....

Me - a clutter of challenges!
Thanks Lisa :)

Enough of the 'babble' - on to my card......

I'm afraid to say I've not joined in with some of my favourite challenges as much as I'd like recently so managed to merge a few into this one card for today...

I've used 3 images from Penny Black, T for Transparent - Critter Party.
They are coloured with Promarkers and covered in Crackle Glaze to give a little more interest.

Challenges I'd like to enter...

Less is More - Sketch

Penny Black Saturday - Stitch it up! - I have added faux stitching around the DP panel.

Passion For Promarkers - Park Life - My 2 mice and butterfly-chasing cat are doing so in the park on this sunny Sunday morning!

Penny Black at Allsorts - Your Favourite (stamp) - Too Hard to pick....any stamp that has PB written on it is my Favourite!

Summer...

I just HAD to make time to join in with the Sugar Bowl challenge this fortnight,
have you seen the prize???

The FULL set of new Sherbet Pips!
How cute are those hunnies???

The challenge for this fortnight is a sketch along with the theme of 'Summer'

As I haven't treated myself to any new Sugar Nellies for quite a while I thought I deserved a new Digi to fit in with the theme - and what is more appropriate than one called 'Summer'! Thing is I bought 'Melissa' whilst I was there too - I can't wait to play with her!

Summer is gorgeous and I only needed to add a little bit of chalk to her to add some colour.

I turned the sketch 90' to accommodate the image. I've used papers from my new favourite make - First Editions, these are from the 'Hideaway' stack. The cute little Ladybugs I'm afraid just seemed to turn up in my stash - I have no idea where they came from - maybe they flew in on the summer breeze!!! They 'Play' sentiment is a TH ticket, it and the doubled ribbon is held on with green staples.

Thanks for visiting me today - I hope you have a fantastic weekend - I'm planning on doing not a lot other than sitting at my desk playing with my toys ;)

Challenges I'd like to enter 'Summer' into...

Sugar Bowl - Sketch & Summer

Stampin' for the Weekend - My favourite things (Ribbon, Staples and First Edition Papers)

Stamptacular Sunday - Fun in the Sun!

Papertake Weekly - Here Comes the Sun!

This Time Last Week.............

.................I was in Cardiff watching.................

Take That!

And this time, a week tomorrow, I will be in Wembley watching.....................

Take That!

How greedy am I?
To all of those people who may come back saying
"but I couldn't get tickets and you're going twice."
I say.....
...I sat at the computer for 7 hours solid the day the tickets went on sale, constantly clicking 'Refresh' on the 4 Ticket Sales websites I'd set up - I bullied encouraged my Son and Daughter into getting their Laptops out and set up for an hour or 2 -  I managed to get as far as adding my payment details 6 times only to have it crash on me - I never got dressed (or even washed) till 5pm - I lost a days pay as I was only expecting to be an hour late in!!!!!! - I even had to call my son to take over the clicking of 'refresh' so I could go the loo!
So I think I deserve it ;)

Want to see some more pics from last week???????

We were standing in Cardiff, in Wembley we have seats - so we'll actually be able to see what's happening on the stage! It may look from these photos that we can - but picture me on Tippy Toes with camera held at full arms reach above my head!!! ...and I've got a good zoom too - we weren't as close as it looks!

If you're going soon ...you'll have a BALL!
If you've been, leave me a line so I can pop over to see your pics :)

ABC Christmas, M is for.........................

...............Monochrome!

Good Morning all
...another week over at ABC Christmas Challenge is kicking off with the letter 'M'

~ MONOCHROME ~

"...consisting of or displaying images in black and white
or in varying tones of only one colour."
(taken from Oxford Dictionaries)

This fortnight's challenge is being sponsored by...

Please take our logo to display on your blog :-)

4 Digi Images of winners choice

My 'M for Monochrome' card is actually a little predictable - Black with Silver (although that's not really covered in the definition I've included above...Oh dear!!!)

I've used Royal E-Z Rub-On's...Snowflakes and Christmas Trees.
The Rub-Ons weren't the easiest to use - don't look too close or you'll see a few areas that didn't take too well! However, I think this might have been because I laid them out on the card first to get the placing right - under my lights I think they started to stick before I was ready to rub them!!! Lesson learned!

Pop over to ABC Christmas Challenge to see the cards made by the rest of the DT - all gorgeous monotone coloured creations :)
