For many months I have been admiring the absolutely gorgeous Teddy Bo and Teddy Bea images, a little reluctant to actually take the plunge and get some as I was a little scared of not being able to do them justice with my colouring skills!
However, a few nights ago I was blog hopping, as we do, and I came across the Teddy Bo Challenge Blog - not only is this a challenge blog dedicated to these beautiful images, it has amazing tutorials too!!! ...and guess what, there's a colouring one! Well infact there's 2 colouring tutorials - and I took it as a sign as the tutorials are in both colouring mediums that I use (and am trying to improve on!) Promarkers and Prisma.
I have added links to both tutorials in a new page I have added to my blog 'Links to my Favorite Tutorials', take a look! I will be adding more links to more tutorials as I see them - mainly for my own benefit - I often see amazing hints & tips in blogland but very often forget where I saw them, so what better way than to have them to hand on my own blog!
Anyway, enough of my rambling...Let me show you my 1st Teddy Bo & Co card - and of course I followed Nicole's amazing tutorial with Teddy Bo & Co Challenge Blog.
Of course I had to join in with their own challenge, which during the Diamond Jubliee Celebrations is Red, White, Blue and lots of Bling!
I've used some of the gorgeous flower ribbon from WOC as well as one of their silver filigree corners, look at the depth of this ribbon - it's it fab! You may notice the little butterfly perched in one of the flowers - it's an earring! I bought them a little while ago - on sale for 50p a pair! I added as many gems as I could to get my 'Bling' in - clear gems as well as red hearts. The Flourish is one of my newest gifts to myself (!!!) ...Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fanciful Flourish' which I had also been admiring from afar for some time until finding it the Craft Show I went to a couple of weeks ago in Cardiff.
Here's a close up of the sweet little Teddy Bea 'Love Letters' - isn't she gorgeous!
...and I am quite happy with my use of Promarkers to colour her - with Nicole's help of course ;)
...and I must admit to not only buying this little sweetie - I have a few more Bo & Bea images to play with over the next few days...yipee!
A few challenges I'd like to enter my card into...
Teddy Bo Challenge - Red, White, Blue and lots of Bling!
Wild Orchid Crafts - Bingo ...Wings/Pink/Bling
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes!
If you're still with me - sorry for the long post - and thanks xxx
