Allsorts #9

I got another challenge card made last night :) This one is for the Allsorts Challenge and we had this fab sketch to work from.

I've used Bella with i-pod and more gorgeous paper from DCWV Sweet Stack.

Friday Sketchers #60

2nd of the challenge cards I managed to get done today :) This one is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge - I just LOVE the Motivet stamps they are offering as a prize!

Used Miss Anya Shopping for this one along with some of the fab papers from the DCWV Sweet Stack - I'm going to have a get a couple more of these soon!

Just Magnolia #13

Not managed to get many challenge cards made this week - but had to do this weeks Just Magnolia - the sketch by Mina is gorgeous!

I've used my infamous wrapping paper again!

Cut the matt for Tilda to sit in from Funky Foam and a smaller one from the wrapping paper - both using my Nesties.

2 ribbons arranged for Tilda to balance on.

The brads in the centre of the punched flowers were given a coating of Glamour Dust to tie them in with the rest of the sparkle!

Nappy Cakes

I LOVE doing these :)

These were both ordered by a girl in work.

Each one uses:
x56 size 3 Pampers, vest, sleepsuit, trousers, jacket (all 3-6 months), bib, socks, muslin squares, teddy and a fleece blanket.

I always make them with larger nappies and clothes as newborns always have LOADS of clothes, plus I'd imagine mum would like to keep this up for as long as possible without worrying it's all going to get too small!!!!

The boy cake also has baby oil, bath & lotion, booties and bath thermometer.

The boy socks are made into candles and the girl ones into roses (I'm no gardener!)

I also make 'Ingredients' cards to go with them so mum knows what's in it.

Got to take them to work tomorrow - hope she likes them!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #6

I've used #4 of my 6 new Pink Gem Stamps for this fortnight's SSS Challenge. The Sketch this time was designed by Barb - and it's fab!

I tried to do a bit of a chalking 'sun' effect in the top righthand corner for that element of the sketch - but it didn't show quite as much as I wanted it to - so I added a giant brad too!!!

That's it for this week for my challenges - will start next weeks tomorrow, after I've made 2 Nappy Cakes that is! Will post pics as soon as they are done :)

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #14.....

....'Christmas in July'!

This is now my SECOND Christmas card of 2009! Wow - I'm doing really well ;)

Stamptacular Sunday's challenge this week has me covered in Glamour Dust, I'm sneezing & tickling like mad!

I've used some of last years PM paper and a sentiment out of this month's DoCrafts Goody Bag. I bought some Doilies this afternoon as I've wanted to try one on a card for ages.

Of course this is another of my new stamps from Pink Gem Designs - she's gorgeous! I've coloured her with my WC pencils and then covered her in Glamour Dust (if I'm honest I wasn't impressed with my colouring - so wanted to cover it!!!)

I was going to use this for the Sketch Saturday challenge - but went to add it and noticed there's a cut off time, that I missed! Never mind - I'll have to try and get ALL of my challenge cards done at the weekend - Why does work always get in the way of having fun???




The papers are Daisy & Dandelion, image is coloured with WC pencils then glossed with Anita's 3d Gloss.

I had to 'patch' the backside of my son's jeans this afternoon - so left the sewing machine out to sew a few pieces of paper together too! I love using my machine on cards, but don't do it often enough!

Stampin' For The Weekend....

Oooh, I've been looking for an excuse to use my fab Strawberry Charms from Quixotic Paperie and the gorgeous strawberry paper from my DCWV Sweet Stack!!! This weeks challenge at Stampin' For The Weekend seemed like the perfect opportunity :)

I've used one of the gorgeous stamps I won from Pink Gem Designs - this is Mimi eating ice-cream, isn't she beautiful? I've also painted and glossed a couple more - so keep an eye out!

I used my WC pencils and Koi Brush for Mimi. The scalloped circle is punched from some of the gorgeous card from this months DoCrafts Goody Bag and I used the glittery chalks from the same Goody Bag to add some colour to the circle and the sentiment piece.

Simon Says Challenge...#11

Morning all,

Gorgeous summery colours were given as the combo this week over on Simon Says Challenge - just wish the weather had stayed a little more summery too!

Apple Green, lemon, orange & pink - we didn't have to use all of the colours but I found the perfect paper in my DCWV Sweet stack - so had to find some way to use it!

Whiff of Joy #37

Over on the Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog this week we are given a recipe to use! The ingredients are: 3 patterned papers, 3 flowers and 1 ribbon. I combined my ingredients with a few others and came up with this:

I can't go anywhere near a WOJ card without Henry popping up! I can't wait for my WOJ stamps to arrive - have 'spoken' to Katharina today at WOJ and they're on their way to me :)

2 of my 3 patterned papers are from DCWV Glitterstack, the other is a fab golden roses paper/fabric that I buy from my local craft shop.

I started off with the 1 flower bottom left as it is made of 3! But then added the flower charm, so it looked like I'd used either 2 or 4 flowers......so made another 3 layered flower - to make a total of 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sense????

The ribbon is self-explanatory - thankfully!!!



As you can see this card was made for someone specific - hope she likes it :)

I Won Pink Gem's Candy :)

I've had a fab weekend as I won Janet's £25 Blog Candy over at Pink Gem Designs :) I had great fun working out what I was going to buy - well to tell the truth it wasn't that great as I wanted to get way more than the £25 I'd won! Will have to save some pennies to get the rest of what I need!


If you've not seen Janet's stamps I strongly recommend you pop over and have a look - she has some beautiful characters - and they are all designed and drawn by Janet herself - she's a very talented lady. It was great to know Janet when she was doing her own 'doodles' and watch her talent develop into a very successful business - well done Janet, and thanks :)

Sketch Saturday #57

I know it's a couple of hours into Saturday already - but I hope this can still count towards this weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday!

I've used a House Mouse image along with some of the fab wrapping paper I mentioned a few posts down.

Well I'm off to my bed now - or I'll be sleeping on my cutting mat tomorrow!

This weeks sketch over on FS is by Carole.

As soon as I saw it it made me think of vellum - so that's what I used - topped off with a fab Penny Black image.

Just Magnolia #11

I've made my 1st Christmas card!!!!!!!!



I've used Edwin as Santa for Bev's Sketch over on Just Magnolia for this week. Took a while to sort through my Christmas papers etc, but now they're aired................... who knows?

Truly Scrumptious #10

Wow - made this one with a whole week to spare!

I've used one of my Dolly Mama stamps for this challenge over at TS - the sketch is by Sharon and it's fab! I've counted this stamp as my 'neglected stash', as I can't remember the last time (or any time actually!) that I've made a card using it!!!

Papers I've used are from the DCWV Sweet stack.

Going to send this card to my Aunty as she sent me a little package this week full of ribbons, buttons, old earings, lace, etc - I love other people's junk!!!!!
