What a Cherub.......

At last I've got around to reinstalling my 'usual' graphics programme to my new computer so am much happier cropping etc my pics now :) Good job as I was getting a bit embarrassed about not blogging much!

Thought I'd show you the Arty Farty Cherub Crib I made for a friend in work. She wanted it not too OTT frilly - and believe me I've done them totally OTT before now!!!

I 'cheated' with the carry box too - made this one out of acetate with a card bottom.

The base plate at the foot of the crib is a plaque with the baby's Name, Weight and Date of Birth.

I do love making these cribs - I used to make a fabric quilt too - but gave up on that as it used to take me 1 hour to make the crib and 10 hours to decorate it!

I may actually upload a few versions a little later - will be good to remind myself how else I've decorated them too :)

Challenges I'd like to enter this for.....

Sophisticat - 'Card for a Child'  (I know it's not a card but the challenge does say they accept lots of other crafty creations)

Simon Says Challenge - Birthday/Celebrations

Raise The Bar - 'For Mom'  (Can I get away with the fact that this is a keepsake that Mom will cherish as much as hopefully the baby will in the future???)

  3. I know what you mean about using your own graphics programme, I am lost without mine. I've installed it on my new laptop so I can now use it upstairs too!
I love your crib, I much prefer the less frilly look :o)
