Cupcake's are Sweet!

Hi Blogger Buddies :)

I had the urge for cupcakes tonight - but as there were none in the house I had to make my own! Instead of the usual butter, sugar, eggs & flour I used some Gemstones cardstock, ribbon, DCWV Nana's Kids DP, Bee charm and some pearls!!!

I'm entering this card into a few challenges....
Cuttlebug Spot - Pink & Green (as their blog)....All elements of the cupcake embossed with various CB folders.
Cute Card Thursday - Dimension........The cupcake is layered and raised down the centre.
Raise The Bar - April Fool......A 'new' style. I very rarely make template cards - in fact I'm sure the last one I made was this cupcake on a birthday card for my daughter's 21st, 1 year ago next week!

Some Easter Cards!

I've made a set of 5 Easter cards using Penny Black Stickeroos. Don't you just love these gorgeous little stickers - I do!

I've also used my gorgeous MS punches and papers from the Do-Crafts March Goody bags - along with the flowers, ribbon and buttons from the same. The sentiments are computer generated.
Some challenges:
Penny Black Saturday - Butterflies and Bees - as you can see there are a few butterflies 'flitting' about!
Simon Says Challenge - Easter or Spring and Glimmer - The gorgeous little hedgie in the watering can has a glimmery butterfly and a sparkly brad in the centre of the flower!
Charisma Cardz - Spring has Sprung! ...and as you're able to do up to 3 entries for this challenge you can pick any 3 of the 5 above :)
Cute Card Thursday - Dimensions - The hedgie in watering can (again) has a peel off butterfly that is attached to acetate before being fixed to the card so that its wings 'flap'.
Colour Create - Pastels & Easter - Pastel colours on my set and most def Easter :)

Only a short post today - but need to keep my hand in or you'll all think I've gone......again!

Exploding Box

I love making these Exploding Boxes - I get asked for them all of the time - 3 layers full of lots of photos of the birthday boy/girl and family.

This one was done for the mum of the boyfriend of the daughter of someone in work - nothing like the word-of-mouth!

As it was for her 50th birthday I stuck some '50' peel-offs to acetate and cut them out leaving a long 'stem'. This I then fixed through the base of the inside layer of the box. When the box is opened they 'pop' out!

Thanks for visiting, I'll pop over and see you soon :)

What..............some cards!!!!!

Thought I'd show you I have been doing a little bit of crafting between Wedding Stationery!

These are 2 cards I made for a fella in work. They were for his little boy to give to his Mam and Nanny on Mother's Day.

Used a few of my Favorite crafting bits on these - Cuttlebug embossing folder, MS punches, ribbon, Gemstones cardstock, Penny Black images........................what else could a crafter ask to use!
Both cards are 22cm square, so lovely big areas to work on.

Have a few more photos of some more projects I've managed to do now the Wedding Orders are at a 'breather' stage ;)

Huge thanks to those of you who pay me a visit - I will have one mega blog catch-up next weekend.

Triplet 'Thank You' Cards

If you've read any of my previous posts you may have come across a few 'Triplet' uploads!
A friend in work had 3 gorgeous babies about 5 weeks ago - Lucas, Ember & Mollie - and asked me to make some cards to send as a thank yous for the gifts. She sent me the photo taken on the day they came home from hospital - they were 8 weeks early but only in hospital for 2 1/2 weeks!

I made these on Saturday and gave them to her today - she was over the moon with them :) I made the box thinking she might like to keep bits in it afterwards.

The cards are A6 postcard type with the mounted picture on one side and text on the other. The photo has the babies in the 'wrong' order (IYKWIM!) so I added their names to it too. Flourishes stamped in silver and card edged with same ink pad. Gems added to signify 2 girls and a boy.

Off to finish off some Save The Dates :)

Take care and hope you have a little bit of sun this week - it's really quite weird seeing that big fiery ball in the sky!

Thought I'd better make an effort!

Just a really quick post to show you all a couple of cards I did over the weekend - I am getting a bit of crafting done in between the Wedding Stationery......but not as much as I should! Going to work 5 days a week REALLY gets in the way!

I did also do a box of 'Thank You' cards for the triplets on Saturday - but I'll have to wait to upload them as I've not delivered them yet!

The 1st card I'm quite pleased with - pic taken into good-old Paint... 'Welcome' changed to 'Happy 21st' and 'To' changed to 'In'.........................

This card is using the gorgeous stamp set from Elusive Images (a few posts down I didn't know who it was by!)

Thanks for dropping by - take care and hope to get more 'crafting' done soon - I really need to get back into some challenges!
