Happy Halloween!

Thought I'd share with you the pumpkins that the kids carved today!

They were done by my 19 year old twins Ben & Ceri and their girlfriend and boyfriend (Ben decided to do 2!)

...we were helped with downloaded patterns ;)

Eeeeekkk..........Spiders!

I don't do many Halloween cards but a friend asked me to do one for her hubby - they are both huge animal lovers so this gorgeous little Digi Image from Soft Pencil was ideal - how sweet are the little kitty and mouse in their mummy costumes!

Guess what cardstock the gold is................Yep - Gemstones! The glitter spiders are plastic 'toys' bought from a supermarket (last year!), there's only 2 stuck on the card (top left corner of image and orange one next to sentiment - the 'loose' spiders are just for photographic ambience!). The sentiment is done on the computer.

The image is coloured with a mix of Promarkers and chalks, I've cut out the 'door' and backed onto a piece of starry packaging card. I've used some foam squares around the cut area to give a bit of depth then DST along the image outer edge. I lightly distressed the image piece with my MM distressing tool.

Some challenges I'd like to enter this card for.......

ABC Challenge - Glitter (my spiders!)

Dutch Dare - Halloween

Cupcake Inspirations - Spooky House & Ghost Cupcakes, photo inspiration

PaperPlay Challenges - A Haunting We Will Go! (closes Thurs)

Tilda in Pink!

Evening All!

Hope you've had a good weekend and at least managed a few moments to play! I did and made my first Tilda card in absolutely ages!!!

I used some Gemstones card and DCWV Glitter Stack. Tilda is coloured with Promarkers (in 'real-life' her pink does match the paper - 'onest, even tho she looks lilac in the pic!), sentiment done on the computer....

.....and a few WOC roses to finish - you can't NOT finish with a few of those gorgeous blooms!

I even did a little bit of decoration inside too!

Thanks so much for popping over, enjoy your week and make sure you wrap up if the weather's turning wintery in your part of the world - it is in mine!

A couple of challenges I'd like to enter this for....

Wedding Memories....

Hi All :)

Last week I finished a project that was a bit of a 'What shall we do???' dilemma!

A friend I work with was going to a 'Secret Wedding', not that secret that the Bride & Groom didn't know - just secret enough that they wanted to do it quietly without a fuss and with only a handful of family in attendance.
My friend orders loads of cards and Nappy Cakes off me.....and anything else I fancy playing with actually - so we had to come up with a special gift.

The card was easy enough - she'd sent me a stunning photo she wanted using and as there was no 'colour-scheme' I felt a black & white theme would be best, all trimmed with silver.

Then for that special gift we decided on a 'Wedding Memories Book'! As they weren't having a formal photographer I thought this type of scrap book gift would work well. I cut lots of cards with Nesties for the guests to write on (I couldn't stand the thought of them writing on the actual pages....they might use different coloured pens!) I also included some 'bits & pieces' for her to decorate the pages with.

It was  wrapped in a piece of gem encrusted Organza material and placed in a matching box....

Here's a couple of close ups of some of the details....

She e-mailed me yesterday and said it was a HUGE hit! They loved it :)

Challenges I'd like to enter this set into.....

ABC Challenge - F is for Flowers (I know I've only used 3, but I hope it's enough!)

Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Black, White & 1 other colour (mine is silver)

We have some fab sponsors again this week - 4 of them actually!

&

This week I've made a Card and Tag to share with you using a Digi that was sent from Squiggle Stamps

This image is called 'Polar Love', Isn't it sweet!
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the card blank and Nesties to cut out the tag pieces. Polar Love is coloured with Promarkers.

The sentiment on the Tag was done using WordArt

After I'd made that card I popped over to have a browse through the images at Squiggle Stamps and bought this gorgeous tree....

So I made a little set...

'Tree of Joy'

To join in with the fun this week and be in the running for one of 4 fantastic prizes, hop over to Top Tip Tuesday now and find out what you need to do!

Another Weekend Over :(

Why, oh why, do the weekends go so quickly - in fact why does time go so quickly now? It's bad enough that Christmas comes around so quickly - although to tell the truth I'm a proper Christmas freak so that's a good thing - but the weekend..........................NO! I want to be off work for at least enough time to get the orders I get from there done!

This weekend I've done a 'secret' Wedding Card and a Wedding Memories Book to match - but obviously being a 'secret' Wedding I wont be showing you till it's happened!!!

I've also done a couple of birthday cards for the 70th Birthdays of a work colleagues mum and her twin sister.  One was made using a photo so I'm not going to be able to find any challenges for that one - I REALLY wish there were some challenge blogs for photos :(
The other I decided to use a Penny Black Stickeroo - so got at least one challenge out of it :)

Here's the first.....

Card 1

I've used my faithful Gemstones card, some WOC Roses and Lace and a gorgeous pin.

And this is for her twin sister.......

Card 2

This is using the same Gemstones, DCWV 'All Dressed Up' paper stack, velvet ribbon, 3 Pearl Brads and a Penny Black Stickeroo.

Challenges I'd like to enter card 2 into (if you know of any I can enter the 1st in please shout!)..........

Penny Black Saturday - Sketch

Simon Says Challenge - Recipe
3 types of embellishments - Brads, Ribbon & Computer Generated Sentiment, 2 papers & 1 image

Think I've managed to find one for card 1 - I popped over to ABC and looked though their participants and they don't all use stamps etc, so I'm going to have a go! If I'm wrong ABC please let me know :)

ABC Challenge - Flowers

Tonight's Quickie!

Hi .........................again!

3 posts in one day - What is going on???

I wanted to get a card done for a another challenge or 2 that I wanted to enter - I've not done enough Autumnal cards yet, and it's nearly winter - although it's been more like summer the past few days!

I've used a gorgeous LOTV die cut image for this card - I'm so going to miss this style of die cut sheets now they've stopped doing them :(

I used some WOC flowers - what else? And a button that is probably as old as I am! When I picked it out of my tin it was grey, but as it is fabric covered, I coloured it with my Promarkers!!!

I'm off to bed now or I'll never get up for work!

Challenges....

Lili Of The Valley - Autumn

Charisma Cardz - Autumn

Thanks for stopping by - see you soon

DT Card......

I've just realised how long I've wanted to say...............

................. "I can now show you my DT card"!

How exciting is that - ok, maybe not very - but it's fab to be able to say it!
I look at so many wonderful DT cards out there and am so pleased that Leanne asked me to join her at Top Tip Tuesday so I am now saying.....

....I couldn't show your earlier as I'd made this to go with Leanne's Easel Card Tutorial this week over at TTT, but now that's all posted & dusted here it is.....

I used a fab image - well 2 fab images actually from one of our lovely sponsors this week Softpencil, to make my card.

The cat and mouse mummies image is 'Adorable Mummies' and the bats are cut from 'Trick or Treat'

I coloured the images with Promarkers and used chalks around the edges for a softer colour effect. I cut out the 'doorway' and used some slim sticky pads to give it a bit of depth off the stary backing card (that's some backing card from a sheet of CHEAP gems). I distressed around the picture, its matt and the sentiment.
The bats are attached to acetate 'arms' to give a bit of movement to the card.

I took this card into work today along with others to top up my card box and had sold it withing an hour!

Challenges I'd like to enter this card for........
