Truly Scrumptious Challenge #3

As I left it so late to do my challenge 2 card I thought I'd get number 3 Truly Scrumptious done in record time!!!

As well as the sketch to work from for this one has to have something 'sparkly'.

My 'sparkle' comes from glitter embossed vellum (not a clue what it is as I've had it for AGES! Bought a few single sheets from The Papermill), silver ribbon, mirri card, 3d gloss and some fab holographic threaded lace!

The image I've used is one of Janets from Pink Gem Designs, she is sponsoring this challenge and the prize is one of her FAB stamps - I LOVE THEM!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2

Wow..................Only just made it!!!

Challenge 2 from Truly Scrumptious again was a sketch with the little 'extra' of adding 'home-made' buttons!

My buttons are cut with Nesties from Funky Foam - I'm quite pleased with them too ;)

The image is Penny Black and is coloured with watercolour pencils. I Highlighted the flower of the Water Lilly with Anita's 3d Gloss. Backing paper is from the Pocket Full Of Posies stack by DCWV.

Hope you like it & thanks for looking :)

Dottie's Back(side!)

Loved these Back2Front Dotties from Charmed Cards and Crafts when I saw them a few weeks ago - then when I found Karen's fantastic Copic candy I had the perfect reason to get them!

I've used Watercolour pencils to colour my Dottie - although I'm sure she'd look much better with 'Clothes & Hair By Copics'!!! ;)
Highlighted her and the windows with 3d Gloss (wasn't untill after I'd put it all together I realised you couldn't see the bricks through the glass - Oh well, I'll know for next time!!!)
Used green flourishes and some Flowersoft for the climbing plants, and added some Penny Black Stickeroo wildlife!

Thanks for looking :)

I Want To Pass My 'GAG' On To......

(.....as in Great Attitude and/or Gratitude)

I would like to show MY Gratitude to:

Sue and Gill

I realise I'm not doing this as I should, cos I'm s'posed to nominate 5 people, but I wanted to recognise the 2 people that have helped me from day 1 in my card-making life.

For the Great Attitude you have shown in the last 2 years with your inspiration and motivation. For the support you have offered and the confidence you nurtured inside me (I should write speech's!).

Thank You :)

I've had another award!

It's been given to me by one of my lovely 'cyber-mates' from Docrafts, someone who always seems to be there when you need a friendly chat - Thank you Sue :)

If you pop over to have a look at Sue's blog you'll see what I mean. Thank you so much Sue - it was lovely of you to think of me - just wish I could pass it straight back to you ;)

The award is - Great Attitude and/or Gratitude (I've been GAGged!!!)

Will have to have a little think of the 5 I'm going to pass it on to - will do soon!

Arty Farty Cherub

I LOVE doing these :)

A friend in work wanted a really girly one to give to her friend.
'The more frills the better' was the spec!
That was it - I was in my element doing this, and I'm really pleased with the final result.

Waiting to get all of the birth details now and will then attach a 'plaque' to the foot of the cot.
I have adapted the AF pattern a little to account for the cover at the top of the straws and to make the carry box using A4 card (5 seperate pieces - Front, Back, Bottom and 2x Sides)

Recipe:
Arty Farty Cherub Pattern
Pink Pearlised Card
Art Straws - side bars
Lace from local haberdasheries
Acetate
Glittered Embossed Vellum from stash
Doll on a spring - taken from the top of a pencil!!!

Thanks for looking :)

Janet, the fantastic designer behind Pink Gem Designs has some fantastic candy on her blog!

Pop over to Pink Gem and you'll see she's celebrating her 1st Bloggerversary and when her hits reach 50,000 she will draw for one lucky person to pick any 4 of her fantastic stamps!

The image I used on the card I entered into the Truly Scrumptious Challenge last week is one of Janets - isn't she beautiful..........Mimi, not Janet!!!

Get over there, leave her a comment on her candy and then link back to it from your blog.......and Good Luck :)

Those Meeces!

Thought I'd add the first 2 House Mouse cards that I've made. I think these stamps are going to be as much of an addiction as I find Penny Black!!

Both images have been coloured with watercolour pencils. Mouse in jam has been heat embossed all over the image with holographic powder.
Mouse in coffee cup sentiment has been highlighted with Clear Sakura.

Thanks for looking peeps, planning on a craft-a-thon of a weekend! Pop back soon to see if I managed it!!

It's been a week...........

.......since I last posted!
Tut, tut!

Well I hope you all had a fab Valentine's day - loads of flowers and chocolate :)

I'm adding a card I've made this week in the hope that someone can help me with the papers! They were just bits sent to me by a friend and I've no idea what they are (nor does she). They are gorgeous and I would love to get some more - does anyone know what they are?

Added some lace for Tilda to sit on and glossed her hair, dress and shoes.

Will try not to leave it another week before my next post!

Penny Black 18th

I hope the snow is not disrupting your crafting too much!
We've not had much since Tuesday - In fact we've had hardly any :(

I took the opportunity to stay in the warm and make some cards, here's one of them...

Penny Black stamp watercoloured and Liquid Embossed with Anita's 3D Clear Gloss. Papers are from the Papermania, 'Sweet Nothings'. I added a Rainbow Drop for the bubble, a couple of flowers and die-cut swirls.

Must go and get some more Valentine Cards done!

If you like the snow - have fun. If you don't - stay in the warm and craft!

Nappy Cake

Well today has been my first ever 'snow' day!!! Got sent home from work after only an hour. Yipee.......Get some crafting done, I thought!!! Well didn't quite work out like that, although I have stamped a ton of Penny Black images for my supplies :)

I promised yesterday to add one of my Nappy Cakes.

This is a Christening one I did last year for a 6 month old.
I always include a 'Recipe' card with details of everything enclosed - and use nappies and clothes in the next size up as I find babies always have loads of clothes for presents (newborn or older). This way mum can keep it up for a while without fear of the contents not fitting!

Beauty Salon Flyers

Well I thought seeing as I set this blog up to show my crafty creations I best add some! Before Christmas I was asked to make some 'Festive Treats' flyers and 'posters' for a beauty salon.
They wanted white, silver and black with a touch of Christmasy red. They loved them and ended up having about 300 flyers.
They've asked for some of my Nappy Cakes to put on display too! Will add one for you to see tomorrow night.

I've Been Tagged!!!

Only my 2nd day as a blogger and I've been tagged by Suzi - Thanks ;)

I had to upload the 6th pic out of the 6th folder in my pictures and then explain it!!!

As most of the pics in my 'My Pictures' are craft related I opened my Family pics and the 6th folder is of our family holiday last September in Cyprus.
My sister Kirsty came on holiday with us, and the 6th pic was one of her and me in the jacuzzi in our villa (I'm on the right) - I think we put too much bubble bath in tho, the kids had buckets getting the foam from around us as it spilled onto the floor!!!!!
