Kellie's Sugarplum Candy :)

Kellie is offering some gorgeous Sugarplum kids stamps........aren't they the cutest!!! These cards she has made with them are stunning.

I'd LOVE to be lucky enough to win these, I'm sure they'd look fab in my 'cute' stamp basket :) If I don't manage to win them I think I'm going to have to start saving some pennies for them - they're now added to my 'must have' list!

Pop over to Kellie's blog to get more info, here's an extract:

In this kit you will receive 9 Sugarplum kids, 2 accessory stamps, and one set of Spring Sentiments. And I can say that they are all just GORGEOUS! A must have for EVERY stamper!

So go on then............................pop over.................................but then if you do my odds to win go down - so maybe you best not!

Mega Candy!!!

Here's an extract from Floral Fantasies Blog..........................you'll have to pop over to make sure you're in the running and to find out more.....................I don't know either!!!!!

"On the 1st February there will be a very special ‘One Off Challenge’………with some rather special candy as the main prize. No ordinary candy I can tell you, but a really serious piece of equipment that all of us would love to have in our craft rooms.I know I am a tease and I will be sharing some sneak peeks of the prizes on offer over the next three weeks........yes ‘prizes’ because as well as the main challenge prize, there will be runners up prizes and a Blog Hop with prizes to be won at each stopping point. And I will also be sharing details of the wonderful sponsors of this challenge and some exciting news about them as well.

But I need you all to help me spread the word and make this as much fun as possible for everyone ........and there is even a prize for doing that. Does this all sound fun or what ? I just know you will all want to get involved and join in so here’s what you need to do now:"

Don't you just love surprises :)

My Favorite Flower .....

.....Daffodils :)

I just love this stamp but unfortunately it has no name or manufacturer on the package! (I will endeavour to find out via good old Google, and let you know!)

I've stamped with Versamark and heat embossed before colouring with Whispers and a water brush. I then painted more Versamark onto the Daff heads and heat embossed those with Holographic powder. The panels were embossed in my Cuttlebug with the Swirls folder and more holographic powder heat embossed onto the yellow pieces.

I'm quite pleased with this card and think I'm going to give it to hubby for our Anniversary - Daffs were the flowers we had at our Wedding. It may be a bit on the feminine side - but at least it means I don't have to see it leave the house!

I'm entering this card for 'a few' challenges...

Cute Card Thursday - 'Blooming Gorgeous'
Saturday Spotlight - 'Let the Sunshine in' and/or mono yellow
Allsorts - 'Hearts & Flowers'
Dutch Dare Card Challenge - 'Summer in Winter'
Charisma Cardz - White on White (although I think it may have too much yellow on to count?)
Raise The Bar - Gift ....The little yellow flower was sent to me by Stephanie - Thanks :)

That's the most challenges I've ever got from 1 card! And to think I had a '1 card, 1 challenge' ethic before Christmas............no wonder I never used to manage to enter many!!!

(Edit...Blogger is REALLY playing up tonight! I've spent the last hour trying to upload my card to the challenge blogs!!! Will return tomorrow to get them all uploaded.....before I throw the bleedin' computer through the window!)

More Triplets!!!

They've been born :)

If you've read any of my previous posts you'll know I mean triplets expected by a girl in work!

Planned C-Section Monday lunch-time, Boy & 2 Girls as they'd been told - 4lb 2oz, 4lb & 3lb 12oz. Great weights seeing as they were 2 months early................can't wait to go and see them :) All is well, they are in Special Care but that's expected. I will check with her if she minds me posting the picture she sent - I doubt it cos they are no doubt all over Face book by now!

So onto the card............

This card I'm entering for 4 challenges:

Penny Black Saturday - 'Sweet'........I don't think you can get much sweeter than triplets!
Simon Says Challenge - 'New Baby'........Do I get 3 entries, lol!
Dutch Dare Challenge - Sketch......Kept sketch to the same orientation but enlarged base card to A5.
Raise The Bar - Gift - Images given to me as a RAK by my buddie Samantha - thanks hunny :)

The image is Penny Black but as it was a RAK, and I haven't looked, I don't know what it's called! I've coloured them with my Promarkers.

I've used a doily as the semi-circle piece behind the image and some glitter lacy ribbon as the panel below.

Thanks for popping over and I hope to spend some quality time visiting over the weekend - so see you then :)

Edited to add......
.........Thank you all for you wonderful comments but I feel I need to confess.....................I've not masked the image - it's 3 seperate images that I have used! The back one is DST'd, the middle one has foam pads and the front one x2 deep foam pads!

A Few More Challenges

Evening all, I've only managed to get one card done today - I'm still in the process of getting my final draft Wedding Samples ready to send out to the bride. She's been over for her second and final 'chat' and I now have material samples and more specific details of what she wants, I've just got to put a few together for her to make her final decision! .....................and I'd love to do this full time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On to todays card!

This card I'm entering for 4 challenges:

Mo's Digital Pencil (DP2) - image and shades of blue & Purple.
Simon Says Challenge - 'Punch it'
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Raise the Bar - Gift

The image is good old faithful Kai, from Mo Manning. I just love this gorgeous image more each time I use it :)
The challenge over on the DP2 blog was a colour combination, they were specific colours but you could use the nearest you have.
SSC 'Punch it' was fulfilled using MS Doily Lace punch and improvising with a circle punch for the corner details!
The sketch from the SS blog is great - I've turned it so the centre panel is running top to bottom.
And finally Raise The Bar - For their 2nd challenge they have asked we use something that was given as a gift. My gift is the sentiment. It's from a Die Cut set from the Daisy & Dandelion range. The set was given to me as part of my craft allowance for Christmas!!!

My Candy announcement is looming! My blog was 1 year old last week so I think I'll combine my Bolgaversary with my Wedding Anniversary on 21st Feb!

Thanks so much for popping over to pay me a visit - I really enjoy reading all of your comments :)
See you soon,

Just For Ewe!

I had to do a last minute entry for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge tonight as I just LOVE the colour combo that is their challenge this week - Black, White & Silver. Their extra challenge ellement was to make it a Friendship card - I've taken the 'Love/Friendship' angle.

I've used Versamark on a sweet little Anita's stamp and Heat Embossed it. The papers are from DCWV 'Glitter Stack' and the rub on sentiment is from Paper, Rock, Scissors.

I hope to get a few more challenge cards done tomorrow - see you then :)

Mo's Triplets!!!

Well I don't think my blue haired Gorjuss girl in the previous post went down very well! Will have to keep the bright coloured hair for my Manga girls :)

Tonight I've done a card for the girl in work who is expecting her triplets any day - if she can hold on to them she'll have a C-section on Monday!

I bought these gorgeous babies from Mo Manning - a set of 6 little cuties called 'Diaper Collection'. I've followed the sketch on Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog and thought it only right I should 'debut' my triplets at the Raise The Bar Challenge blog too!
As Charisma Cardz have an 'All New' theme too I've put this in as my 3rd entry into their challenge too :)

I've used papers from the DCWV 'Kids' Stack and added a bit of lace down the spine.

These little darlings were much easier to colour with my Promarkers than I imagined, in fact I'd even go as far as to say they were a dream to colour!

I just need to work out how to 'flip' the images now as I wanted the little girls to have their bows on opposite sides :(
There is a bow in the set to cut out, so I could've done it that way really! I just love some of the things that I've seen done with Mo's images - pop over and look through the cards. She is fine about people layering and combining her images - as long as the Copyright is still visible. I obviously didn't want 3 copyrights on this image, so cut one out and stuck it next to one of the babies.

Need to make a large card next for everyone in work to sign.........................but that'll be tomorrow :)

Gorjussly Bright!

Hi blogger buddies - I hope you've all had a great Monday....................Oh well, at least it'll soon be Friday!

This card has been made using the great sketch over at The Sugar Bowl Challenge. The extra to be included was distressing - I think this card looks a little more distressed rather than my usual 'traumatised' efforts!!!
This is the first time I've joined in with this challenge and was totally inspired by the fab sweetie picture at the top of their post..........thus the brighter than normal Gorjuss girl!

I've coloured her with Water colour pencils and used papers from the DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies stack. Did some faux stitching with the help of my bestest ever craft tool - a dressmakers wheel and then used a silver gel pen for the stitches.

I had some great feedback today regarding my Nappy Cake (a couple of posts down), it was delivered to the new mum over the weekend and apparently she was over the moon :)

It's my First Blogiversary on Thursday so make sure you pop back over the weekend for my first candy :)

That's all for tonight - see you all tomorrow.......nite, nite

Rudolf in Silver!

I can't believe I've managed another challenge card today! This one is going in for 5 challenges:

ABC Christmas - B is for Bells......This image is the ONLY thing I could find in my stash that had anything to do with bells!!!

Saturday Spotlight - Snowflakes

Charisma Cardz - Anything New..... I bought the 3d Snowflakes for last Christmas, but only opened them this afternoon!

Raise the Bar - Debut......My snowflakes!

The image is 'Rudolf' by Hampton Art. I Versamarked and heat embossed him. I added a little colour to his bells so they were a little more noticeable!

The snowflake vellum backing is from Papermania as are the gorgeous 3d Snowflakes. The red panel is a flocked paper.

Hopefully I'll be able to do a few cards throughout the week in between the Wedding Stationery I have to start!
Huge thanks for stopping by :)
I really appreciate each and every comment you leave :)

Pink & Grey WOJ

Only 2 more calendars to go..I'd better hurry or it'll be March before I get them out!

This one I'm entering for 2 challenges:

Whiff of Joy - Sketch
Cute Card Thursday - Pink & Grey

The WOJ image is called 'Cat with Bow' and I have added a bit of colour with Momento ink and a waterbrush - not sure why I didn't use WC pencils, probably cos the Momento was right in front of me on my desk so I used it!!!

The papers are both Gemstones - I'm so going to have to buy loads more of these whilst they're on offer!

Flowers punched from same and fastened with Pearl Brads.

My 1st Altered Matchbox!

I've swooned over the gorgeous matchboxes that Mummylade does for ages and decided I needed to do one too! So whilst shopping this afternoon I picked up a box of those long matches used for candles and anything else you don't want to get your fingers too close to! I'm going to send this to my Mum as she's lucky enough to have an open fire so will get more use out of it than me - wouldn't be the same if I kept them just in case the ignition switch breaks on my Rangemaster!

So if you've not seen Mummylade's gorgeous matchboxes pop over to her blog and have a look... and it's not only matchboxes she alters beautifully either............thanks for the inspiration Helene :)

I've made my Matchbox with flap over the striking edge - it has a velcro fastening on the back of the box. I've also covered the 'drawer' front and back and added a brad to each to look like a little handle!

I'm entering my Matchbox for 2 challenges:

Penny Black Saturday - Blue, Cream & Gold

Charisma Cardz - Anything New

The Penny Black image I've used is called 'Constellations' I've added some colour with Tim Holz 'Faded Jeans' ink..........my only TH ink pad at the moment :(

My 'New' are the gorgeous roses from Wildorchid Crafts - I had my first delivery mid-week and I can guarantee it wont be my last ;)

I hope you've all had a lovely crafty Saturday and are looking forward to an even better crafty Sunday!

A few Challenges :)

Morning all :) Is it nice to see the white stuff melt?...................I'm sure there's plenty of you that think so, but I don't :(
............................We didn't have much :(

On to my first card of the weekend - I plan a crafty catch-up weekend in my house, so I hope no-one here wants to eat!

I'm entering this card for 3 challenges:

Stampin' for the Weekend - Sketch
Simon Says Challenge - Shabby Chic
Raise The Bar (1st Challenge) - Debut

I've elongated Fiona's Sketch from SFW but it's still recognisable, well I hope Fiona thinks so anyway!
My 'Shabby Chic' for SSC is debatable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still not able to get the stunning results that you can see on their DT cards! If any of you have seen my version of 'Distressing' you'll know what I'm talking about...................My cards aren't distressed they're traumatised!
Finally RTB have announced their 1st weekly challenge - Debut. This gorgeous Inky Impressions stamp has been in my stash for at least 6 months without being touched - tut, tut!
The Backing Paper is from DCWV 'Kids' stack, I've used Promarkers to colour 'Lili's Birthday Cake' image. CB embossing folder used on some Gemstones and then sanded and that gorgeous ribbon is from my local haberdashery.

Thanks for popping over and paying me a visit - I just wish it wasn't a 'virtual visit' and we could've had a chat over coffee!

Nappy Cake :)

I had to get this Nappy Cake done for a girl in work whose niece has had her baby a little early! So no cards tonight :(

I absolutely love making these......although I spend AGES working out the best way to wrap the clothes around each tier and then trying to invisibly pin everything!

This cake uses 32 Pampers, Pink Fleece Blanket, Bunny Blanket, Bunny Hooded Jumpsuit, 3 Face Cloths, 2 pairs of Socks, 2 Spoons, Dummy, 2 Rubber Ducks, Cuddly Toy, Baby Oil, Talc & Lotion.

I always include a 'Recipe' Card with all of the contents (and sizes) and a photo of the cake...............

......

Thanks for visiting and if you want to see a couple more of my Nappy Cakes click on the pic on my sidebar.............I'll have to get all I've done in a slide show soon!

Ballerina Birthday

Well the white stuff certainly fell in this part of the World last night! Although to be totally truthful not so much over my house but 15 miles down the road in Bridgend. My journey to work this morning was very eventful AFTER 8 miles on a clear Motorway - as I went up the slip road I thought I'd stepped through the wardrobe into Narnia! It took me longer to do the half mile from there to work than it did the previous 14.5 miles from my house!!!
The kids were a little bit miffed when I phoned them to tell them!

My thoughts go out to those of you who have had to deal with it for the last 3 weeks!

On to my card.......

This card is made for a friend in work. I've used Ballerina Anya from TGF and coloured her with Promarkers and a touch of silver gel pen. The polka dot paper is from DCWV Kids stack and Gemstones used for the backing. Can't remember where I got the sticky alphabet letters from but I'll have to find out as I'll need more soon!

I'm entering this card into 2 challenges, although I think I'm a tad too late for one but as there's no time on the blog I'll try anyway.....Cute Card Thursday asked for 'New', my 'New' is the ribbon, had it in my goodies from Santa :) The second challenge is Friday Sketchers, this was one of the most unusual sketches I've worked to - but a great challenge :)

Well must 'off' - need my beauty sleep ;)
Thanks for popping over...

Kai's a Girl!

I've managed to squeeze 2 challenges into my second card for tonight!
'Birthday' was the challenge set by Lisa over at Mo's Digital Pencil and Mina did a fab sketch for Truly Scrumptious this week.

I've used the gorgeous Kai in Snow image from Mo Manning and coloured (her) with my Promarkers. I'm not sure of the polka dot paper as it came out of my scrap box!

The larger button is a pale pink, not peach as it looks in the picture!

Well I'm off to bed now or I'll never be up for work in the morning :(
'See' you all tomorrow.....
