A Challenge or Two!

Happy Saturday everyone :) Hope you're having a good weekend and taking advantage of all of the extra TV the fellas are watching! At least the World Cup gives us crafters a REASON to shut ourselves away ;)

Here's a card that I made at 'stupid O'clock' last night whilst waiting for the kiddie-winks to come home - Ben was the side of the bar that gives the money whilst Ceri was the other side taking it!

I've used one of my new LOTV stamps that I've had for weeks now but had to mount it last night as I've not even opened them yet! Will sit down tonight and mount the rest I think!

I've used that fantastic invention 'sticky backed cork' for the backing and a few scraps of paper/card. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and as they are sponsoring this weeks LOTV challenge I had to use them as my 'flowers' to go with this weeks sketch. I just hope my using them hasn't feminised the card too much - what do you think?
The punch is a new one from Martha Stewart - I REALLY need the other leafy one, I think it's called Branch, but I can never find it in stock anywhere :(

The gorgeous image is coloured with my trusty WC Pencils - I felt a washed out look would suit it better.

Do you like my photo 'backdrop'? Thought I'd try and get the Waterlily in the shot and then a few of our fish made an effort to get in too!

Right then, a couple of challenges to enter this card for....

Raise the Bar - What a Special Guy!

  3. it's not feminine at all, perfect setup. And your garden looks amazing, oh the joy to have a pond - of course the cats would scare the pants of the fish but still..

  4. Helene we have 2 cats and I think it's the other way around!!! It's quite funny to see the 2 of them watching the fish, there's so many of them they don't know where to look - especially when they're splashing around in the plants spawning!

Thanks everyone for your lovley comments and reasurance it's not too girly!
