Top Tip Tuesday #54 - Sketch

I'm afraid this post is a little long - just in case you're a 'skimmer' I've put the important bits in bold ;)

Good Top Tip Tuesday Morning

What amazing Ribbon projects we had for last week - again HUGE thanks to each and everyone of you that took the time to play along with us - have you checked out who this weeks winners are yet?

This week is our

- TOP TIPPER WEEK -

Which means as well as playing along with the challenge all of the DT offer you one of their all-time favourite Top Tips :)

The Challenge this week is one we don't do very often - but love it when we do....

A Sketch...

Isn't this one of the most amazing Sketches you've seen!!!!
HUGE brownie points to our amazing Samantha for producing this one - I know you're gonna love working with it :)

Please note Samantha is well aware that not all of us like to use images...
therefore the sketch has a 'focal point' element rather than 'image'.
You can rotate, flip, turn the sketch...you can even add a few extra gems/swirls/flowers/etc here & there - but we need to be able to see the foundations of the sketch above.

For this challenge we have 3 amazing Sponsors

(including one new one!)

Prize - 2 Digi Images

is offering any 1 of their CDs!

Brand new Sponsor.........................

Some of the DT have used Krista's images - they are awesome, and so much fun to colour - I love them!

Prize is 2 digi's from Krista's shop for the winner.

As Saturated Canary is a new sponsor for us at TTT,
here is a little about the company...
Hello!  My name is Krista Smith.
I have been drawing and doodling my whole life...as far back as I can remember!  Over the last year and a half, I have been selling it on Etsy. I was approached to draw stamps for Sugar Nellie, a stamp company based in Scotland.  After designing only rubber for a year, I decided to branch out a bit into the digital world:).  As an artist, I appreciate the versatility of digi's for the stamper.  I also like releasing stamps that are a little more obscure or unique.  Monsters, nerds with big glasses...even a mermaid:).  Those ones are really fun for me to draw!  After opening up my digi shop in the beginning of September, I've been busy filling orders:).  I am really thrilled and very humbled that ladies are so receptive to my designs and seem to enjoy coloring them a lot!  I am so inspired by these amazing colorists!!  I have met so many wonderful, talented ladies through this business and look forward to building new friendships, too!   My personal blog, Saturated Canary, is filled with bits of my family life, artwork, and a slight obsession with fashion;). I also run a new challenge/ inspiration blog, Saturated Canary Challenge with my amazing design team.  I'd love to meet you and be inspired by your own creations!  Do stop by and say hello!:)

Don't forget TTT is all about Top Tips
- therefore PLEASE remember to share yours with us all -
Add (TIP) after your name when you link - you don't have to make a project,
the Top Tipper prize is open ONLY to those participants who link a Top Tip.
Write your tip into your post stating it is your Top Tip Tuesday Top Tip so we don't miss it - rules apply as project links.

Here is my take on our TTT Sketch for this challenge.....

(Using Wedding Day from Saturated Canary)

Box - instead of ribbon to tie the box closed I made a 'Belly-Band' and decorated it.
(This card has yet to be delivered, so I have blanked out the Bride's name - not that she would see it here in a million years - but would be just my luck if I didn't!)

The card is wrapped in a beautiful Organza fabric that I bought at the CIA in Cardiff this week - were YOU there? Wasn't it fab!!!
My TOP TIP over on TTT relates to this gorgeous wrapping...

I used my Promarkers to colour this beautiful image - she is a full length image but I wanted  her to be quite large within the Nestie and I like the effect that 'cutting off' an image can give. The edges have been chalked. The flowers are from WOC, as is the lace - LUSH!

The card is a tri fold concertina - with another 'Focal Point' as the first page - I very loosely followed the same sketch to tie it in. The sentiment is done in Word and then cut with Nesties.

This is the final 'page', the insert with another sentiment I did in Word.

If you are still with me - Thank You :)

I hope you will pop over to TTT, top up your Top Tip file and join in with our sketch challenge :)
