Good Top Tip Tuesday to you all :)
What a gorgeous array of makes you all entered last week - have you popped over to see if you're one of our winners?
This week over at Top Tip Tuesday we are having a very
special 'Tip-Tastic'
Open Challenge!
That means you can make anything you want to!!!!!!
This week tho we really want to see those Top Tips linked - so make sure you write your Top Tip on your blog and link it to Mr Linky with 'Tip' after your name - how easy is that!
You can also go through the links this week to find all of those great Top Tips - it'll be easy to spot them as they'll have 'Tip' written after their name.
This week we have 2 great sponsors:
Random.Org prize for one of the linked projects into this week's Open Challenge...
Prize - 2 Digi Images
AND
This week's Top Tipper will win...
As this week we are focusing on 'Tips' all of the DT have posted one of their favorite 'Top Tips' along with their 'Open Challenge' make.
Pop over to Top Tip Tuesday to check them all out!
My Open Challenge for this week is a bag made from a pair of jeans.........
The idea, I'm afraid to confess, wasn't one of my own....it came from issue 1 of 'Simply Homemade'
If you've not yet seen this magazine you have to look out for it next time you're in the Supermarket - it covers so many crafts and is a fantastic read as well as 100 pages of inspiration!
I did add the 'CarolJenks' twist to my bag by making the handle adjustable - I hate it when you are limited by a one-length-only handle!
The 'Top Tip' I'm sharing with my bag is......
Need some material for making those little projects? Then don't go to the fabric shops....go to the charity shops! The material I have lined my bag with was a dress I paid £3 for - and there's loads left for other projects too!
I bought a few shirts, a lacy skirt and some children's denim skirts to alter!
But that's for another time!
I've made a little charm for my bag using 'Teddies' by DigiSparkle - one of our sponsors this week.
I printed it onto Shrink Plastic, coloured with Prisma Pencils and added some bits of an old necklace!
To print on Shrink Plastic...... Print a 'dummy run' of your image onto a piece of card - attach the Shrink Plastic with sticky tape OVER the printed image (top and sides only, don't tape all 4 sides) and then run through the printer again but this time on DRAFT.
I hope you've enjoyed looking at my Jeans Bag as much as I enjoyed making it!
I'd like to enter my bag and charm into the following challenges....
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes!
Pollycraft - Anything Goes!
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes!
