1 Card...3 Challenges!!!

First time I've done this! As I said in my last post I usually make 1 card for each challenge - but wanted to tick a few more off this week and as it's already Friday I didn't have time to make 3 cards!

So this card covers:

Penny Black Saturday - Pearls & Lace
Allsorts - Snowflakes
and
the sketch is from Sketch Saturday

Sentiment is Penny Black 'In The Heart', papers from last year - cover's come off the stack so I'm not 100% sure what it is!!!! Vellum is Anita's Classic Silver Christmas - again last years range.

I have NO idea what the pearls are - I bought a tub of about 250 of them from a car boot sale for £1.50!

Whiff Of Joy AND Simon Says Stamp!

I've combined challenges!!! Something I don't usually do - but a little bit short of time!

Whiff Of Joy this week had a great sketch - a few more 'layers' that I'd be comfortable with normally - but then that's why we do these 'challenges' isn't it????? Simon Says Challenge had a recipe this week - 3 Embellishments: Punched Snowflakes, Brad & Gems. 2 Papers and 1 image.

I've used one of my new Whiff of Joy Christmas stamps - this one is called 'Henry with Giant T-Cup' but I beg to differ - Surely it's a mug!!!!!!!!

I've coloured him with Promarkers - but added no Gloss this time ;) The papers are from last years DCWV stack - Rose Tinted Christmas, I love this stack and actually bought a couple more in the sale at the beginning of the year, so have plenty :)

Don't you just love that smile!

Sketch & Stash #19

This is the first time I've participated in the Sketch & Stash challenge - but when I saw the sketch I just knew I had to. Such a versatile layout that I will definitely be using again.

I've used my Manga Boy and coloured him with Promarkers, again highlighting with 3d Gloss.

The S&S challenges you to use new, unused or neglected stash (and of that I have plenty!!!) - my NEW stash is the Nana's Kids Mat Stack from DCWV - I treated myself to a few new small stacks a few weeks ago whilst visiting The Range, and not used them yet!

The house button came from mum's old button tin I raided yonks ago - and that was probably in there for years - so you could say I've used something that was neglected too!

Celebrating My Scenery!

I have been inspired by the wonderful Kath to share with you some of the fantastic scenery on my doorstep!

After reading her post yesterday and seeing the gorgeous photos of her wonderful surroundings I thought I'd pop my camera in my bag this morning when Rob and I went for walk and coffee.

We live in South Wales and the photos are taken from Mumbles (Bracelet Bay) and Langland, both within a 20 min drive from us ........... and yeh - we had two coffee's!

Look how many are on the beach! And can you spot the people in the sea on the 3rd pic! Brrhhhh!

I'd love to see your photos Celebrating YOUR Scenery!

Stamptacular Sunday #24

Another great sketch in another great challenge - this card was made for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog and is uploaded almost a full 2 hours before cut-off!!!

I've used another of my new stamps - this time Henry from WOJ - isn't he the cutest little meece ever??? Him and his Hot Chocolate loving brothers landed on my doormat this morning :)

The sentiment is from last years Christmas set from Kerry Jo, I can't believe how well it matches Henry and his bauble!

Henry was coloured with Promarkers - I'm really going to have to have some sort of system to my colouring - at the moment I'm still 'learning' and using one colour over another, over another! Ultimately I have no idea what colours I have used!!! I'd heat embossed the image with silver and coloured it only a few minutes later - the embossing started to smudge, so I will make sure I do my embossing way before I want the image next time!

I've glossed the bauble and Henry's hat - but took the piccy whilst it was still wet! Imapatient.................me.....................NO!

I'm really enjoying the effect I'm getting from adding the flourishes with dots of glitter glue - so did loads - again! Made a bit of a boob at the top - so covered it with a flower ;)

The paper is from the DCWV Old World Mat Stack - not a very Christmasy pack but I thought the colours were good!

The mats are not wide enough for 15x15cm cards and as that is the only size I seem to make I cut the blue piece, well it's not really needed behind the purple and now it fits!!!

Sketch Saturday #68

Gorgeous sketch this week over at Sketch Saturday - I 'd already coloured my Miss Santa Manga Kid yesterday, so when I was checking out the challenges this morning I was chuffed to see it fitted in with the sketch :)

She is coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Gloss. Paper is from Daisy & Dandelion and I added some tiny dots of glitter glue to embellish around the snowflakes.

Allsorts #18

A fab sketch this week on the Allsorts Challenge Blog - Thanks Emma, I think I will be using this one again :)

The extra spec was a 2 colour combo of your choice - mine is Orange and Brown.

I've used one of my Manga Girls and coloured her with Promarkers. I've then highlighted areas with Anita's 3d Gloss (I've found that gloss can alter some of the Promarker colours quite dramatically - so test first!).

Some little cheapy felt flowers were embellished with Card Candy and ribbon and an old button dressed with matching ribbon too. My Martha Stewart punch made another appearance - I really need to get some of the other designs ;)

Just Magnolia #22

Another challenge card! I may start to do this more often.....again!

This week over at the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog the theme is 'Embossing' - of any sort.

My Tilda image has been Heat Embossed and useing my Cuttlebug and some Co'ordinations card I embossed the back panel.

Tilda was coloured with my Promarkers.
This card is going to be winging it's way to lands far off very soon - a little thank you for someone ;)

Friday Sketchers #69

I have been such a bad blogger! I've seemed to have a manic few weeks - although doing what, I'm not quite sure! This is my first challenge card in about 3 weeks!!!

I ordered some of the fantastic Manga Christmas stamps yesterday morning and bright and early this morning they were on my doormat! Wow - Thanks Funky Kits - that's what I call GREAT service - It's not as if us crafters are impatient tho ;)

So I had to find a challenge to use one............ :)

This weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers gave me the 'snowflake' feel for this gorgeous Manga Fairy to sit in - As I couldn't find a suitable snowflake template I customised a paper doily with Versamark & Snowflake Heat Embossing Powder.

The paper is from the Christmas Daisy & Dandelion pack. Fairy is coloured with Promarkers. I've just noticed from the photo that I have torn her just above her knee! I'll go and doctor her now and cover that with a bit of extra colouring!

I've Not Been Ignoring You!!!!!

............................Honest!!!

I've not done any challenge cards for over a week - and you'll never believe how bad I feel!

I just wanted to share with you the reason I've not been around... posting or visiting any of my blogger buddies.

My twins were 18 on Wednesday and I spent the beginning of the week preparing, and the end of the week cleaning up! They had a few friends round - well 36 in total and whilst Ceri and her friends went off clubbing for the night, Ben and his mates stayed here! Myself and their big sister Zoe went to pick Ceri and her friends up from Swansea at about 3am - then they were all back here again!!!!!!! Poor Hubby had work the following morning but still managed to come down at 3.30 to say hello (The noise had NOTHING to do with it!)

I eventually got to bed at 5 and then had to take Ceri to college at 8.30 Thursday for her induction day - she does Sports but needless to say she didn't perform very well at the bleep test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
